DOWN OR SYNTHETIC?
Normally down jackets are associated with better warmth and durability but also linked to animal cruelty. Synthetic on the other hand is known for having better general performance/value but not always offering proper levels of warmth. The GRAnaREC jacket takes synthetic insulation to a whole new level with a blend of recycled polyester and GRAPHENE integrated polyester. Lightweight, warm, breathable, tough, unique.

On the shell and lining, we use 100% 20D nylon 66. Nylon 66 yarn was developed by DuPont in 1937 and is provided to us by Toray (Japan originary). Exceptional mechanical stretch, super breathable, and extraordinary abrasion resistance makes this fabric a favorite in the military field. All this while feeling incredibly soft thanks to the micro-texture we called “nano”.
On the insulation, we see the game-changer. 80g/m2 of recycled polyester are integrated with graphene to make this jacket a one of a kind.
In insulation jackets, are the thousands of air pockets generated by the fibers the ones that keep you warm. When these pockets are built with a material that has far-infrared properties that warmth is dramatically increased without adding any weight to it.
This extremely breathable and stretchy insulation manages to adapt to your needs and to keep you comfortable in the most active situations. Excess heat and moisture flow freely away from your body and through the air pockets of insulation material.
The short-staple filament insulation design features short strands of fine-denier filaments that are densely compressed to reduce heat loss. It also allows the jacket to be extremely compressible and self-pack in its chest pocket. This design helps in getting the same feel of softness and flexibility you see in down jackets.
All this, without slaughtering a single goose or duck.

SELF-REGULATING WARMTH
This 80g / m2 insulation is empowered with graphene, which through far-infrared waves keep you warmer than you have ever seen with such light insulation but also amazingly fresh when the sun and heat show up.

Graphene presents far-infrared properties, meaning that it transfers energy purely in the form of heat which can be perceived by the thermometers in human skin as radiant heat*.
(*so basically the heat is easily absorbed by the human body and according to studies this heat can penetrate up to 4 cms. beneath the skin)
WATER IS NOT AN ISSUE
The effectiveness of traditional down jackets decreases as moisture causes the down clusters to stick together and screws their ability to trap warm air. Down jackets dry really slow.
On the GRAnaREC, the graphene integrated polyester fibers form air pockets that keeps you warm, dry and comfortable even when wet. Besides they dry much faster.

Graphene-X’s year 1 footprint estimate was equivalent to 10 t CO2. We decided to go the extra mile and purchase carbon offsets to the equivalent of 250 t CO@. So yes, we are in reality carbon negative, meaning we offset more CO2 than the one our whole operation generates.
